TissueGen® develops polymer-based drug delivery systems for drugs ranging in size from small molecule compaunds to growth factors and enzymes to much larger antibodies. Our proprietary TGEM technology extends the range of pharmaceutical compounds we can formulate by protecting sensitive drugs from solvents used to manufacture polymer systems. The TissueGen team has decades of experience creating polymer-based drug-delivery systems from biodegradable fibers and microspheres using both customer supplied polymers as well as homopolymers, blends and co-polymers of common polymers including:

TissueGen’s polymer-based drug-protected delivery systems are tuned to deliver hydrophobic and hydrophilic pharmaceutical agents. Our wet-extruded, drug-loaded fibers can be woven, braided, or knitted into drug-loaded textiles that are ideal for applications including soft-tissue healing, pain relief and protection against infection. Drug-loaded fibers and microspheres provide excellent flexibility in the design of slow release applications, allowing us to optimize formulations while taking into consideration indication pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and anatomical location of the drug depot.
